What’s new

What shipped in DocPost, in the order it landed. Each note is a release, not a commit.

  1. AddedImproved

The case takes the Aadhaar name

When the names on PAN, Aadhaar, and the required documents agree, the case is renamed to the name printed on the Aadhaar. Document requests leave from updates@docpost.in, with the workspace logo or a first-letter mark. The verification export keeps the logo in its real shape.

    Added

    • A document that carries a name and an identifier shows both, with the number masked
    • On an employee-verification board, the case moves itself between documents requested, under review, verified, and needs attention

    Improved

    • Document requests and replies are sent from updates@docpost.in. Replies still land in the connected mailbox
    • Mail shows the workspace logo. With no logo uploaded, the header is the first letter of the workspace name
    • Names that agree by at least 80% set the case name from the Aadhaar
    • The verification PDF keeps the logo at its real proportions, uses tighter page padding, and lays the details out in two columns
  2. AddedImprovedFixed

Each document says how it is checked

A checklist item can say how it is verified, and a locked file no longer sticks the desk. Staff can ask for the password, and a reply that contains it opens that copy for good.

    Added

    • Category and Validation sit on the same row in the checklist editor. When no checks are available, Validation stays off
    • A password-protected upload shows Request password, and that ask goes out by email or WhatsApp
    • A reply that contains the password opens the stored file, so later reads do not need it again
    • An expired required document is asked for only during the stages a workflow chooses, and only once per copy

    Improved

    • A PAN row shows the printed name and a masked number. An Aadhaar name is compared with the verified PAN name on the report
    • The reusable badge reads only Reusable
    • Welcome mail has no top-left logo. The verification report has no Verified with line

    Fixed

    • Changing the case email notifies that address. Saving with neither Email nor Owner changed stays silent
    • The admin host sign-in page no longer rewrites itself into a redirect loop
    • Files stay on the DigitalOcean volume, and Postgres stays on DigitalOcean
  3. AddedImprovedFixed

A front door, and mail that catches up

UAT has a front door now, and a mailbox that failed no longer looks healthy. The landing desk is something you can click through. Mail that showed up while sign-in was broken is collected once the mailbox works again.

    Added

    • A public landing desk you can click through: overview, needs attention, cases, contacts, conversations, and follow-ups
    • A What's new page, linked from the landing
    • Admin sign-in with the same folder scene and tall form as a workspace

    Improved

    • A workspace opens at its -uat address. With no workspace, uat.docpost.in is the front door. Any other docpost.in address does not open the app
    • An unknown workspace shows the missing folder

    Fixed

    • A mailbox whose last check failed says Needs attention. Connected appears only when that check succeeded
    • Mail that arrived while the mailbox was broken is fetched after sign-in is fixed. Mail from before the mailbox was connected stays where it was
  4. Fixed

    Quieter fixes across the desk

A short pass on the screens people actually live in. Labels, confirmations, and a handful of rough edges from the redesign are tightened so the desk feels finished rather than freshly painted.

    Fixed

    • Create Case now says what it does, instead of a label that read like a placeholder
    • Removing a brand asset asks before it disappears
    • A batch of interface bugs from the redesign landed in the same pass
  5. Added

Start a workflow from the case menu

Opening a case no longer dead-ends when the workspace has nothing to file it under. The create menu can start a new workflow in the same gesture, then come back to the case.

    Added

    • Create new workflow sits in the case creation dropdown
  6. Fixed

Sessions, names, and mail that stay put

Signing back in, reading a tenant's real name, and finding the right mail on a case were all slipping. This release holds those three still.

    Fixed

    • A restarted session no longer drops you out of the workspace you were in
    • Tenant names show the name you set, not a leftover slug
    • Case mail routes to the case it belongs to
    • Lists keep the order you left them in
  7. AddedImproved

    Workflow templates

A workflow can start from a template instead of a blank page. Pick one from the gallery, then shape it in a tabbed editor. Templates know their category, and a workspace can keep its own copies alongside the ones DocPost ships.

    Added

    • Template-first journey: gallery, then a tabbed editor
    • Template categories, and tenant-owned copies of a workflow template
    • Company type on the workspace, so the gallery can speak the right language

    Improved

    • Case detail restyled, with vital signs and a profile verification report
  8. AddedImproved

    The desk, redrawn

Overview, cases, contacts, conversations, and settings now share one typeface, one radius, and one warm page. Channels stay a setup concern. The work itself is a case, a thread, and a follow-up - not three inboxes.

    Added

    • Home with hero cards and recent activity that marks itself read when you open it
    • Header search, so a case or contact is a keystroke away
    • Split inbox: the thread sits beside the conversation list
    • Contacts grid, with a card for the person behind the documents
    • Analytics period picker, including a custom range and a 15-day preset
    • Follow-ups aging ladder, so a nudge that has gone quiet is obvious
    • Workflow folders on the cases landing
    • Settings tabs, with Channels as one of them
    • Sign-in with a file-sorting scene instead of a bare form

    Improved

    • Manrope across the app, on the Minimal Neutral palette
    • Stat cards, table rows, and pills share one radius
    • WhatsApp uses its own mark wherever WhatsApp appears
    • Needs attention queue rows and empty states
    • Notifications grouped by day, with a tile for each kind
  9. Added

Mail that looks like the workspace

Outbound mail can carry the workspace's own header and marketing logos. Channel setup grew up around the same idea: the number and the mailbox operate under the tenant's brand.

    Added

    • Email header and marketing logos for outbound mail
    • Richer email and channel management on the workspace
  10. ImprovedFixed

    Documents find their case

Inbound mail now routes by the case tag, and KYC extract and verify stop inventing a date of birth. Removing a document and checking a slug are less surprising.

    Fixed

    • KYC extract and verify, including date of birth handling
    • Inbound mail routing by case tag

    Improved

    • Document removal
    • Slug availability checks
    • Document processing polls, and the screen refreshes with them
  11. AddedImproved

    Templates the platform owns

A workspace can apply a platform workflow template and then change it. Loan templates validate before they save, and email sending moved onto the Resend SDK.

    Added

    • Platform-owned workflow templates a tenant can apply and customize
    • Staging deploys from the deploy workflow

    Improved

    • Loan workflow template validations and the errors they surface
    • KYC and email, with sending through the Resend SDK
  12. Added

    Analytics

The workspace can see how work is moving: open cases, stage counts, and how long a stage tends to take. The first dashboard is the one later releases taught to speak in date ranges.

    Added

    • Analytics dashboard for workspace totals
